Common Issues
When to Consider Counseling for Your Child or Teen
Our therapists create a supportive environment where children and adolescents can process difficult emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build stronger communication with the people who matter most. We also partner closely with parents throughout the process, offering insights and strategies that strengthen the parent-child relationship and help positive changes last at home. Whether your family is facing stress, school-related anxiety, grief, or big life transitions, we’re here to help your child rediscover resilience and move toward emotional well-being.
When Your Child is Hurting, the Whole Family Feels It
You might notice your child acting out, shutting down, or becoming more anxious—and despite your best efforts, it feels like nothing helps for long. Many parents we work with describe feeling stuck between wanting to protect their child and not knowing what will actually make a difference.
This may look like…
- PWatching your child shut down or act out and not knowing how to help
- PNoticing your teen’s anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional pain growing
- PFeeling like school has become a daily battle, for them and for you
- PWatching your child grieve the loss of someone or something important
- PSeeing your child struggle to fit in or feel like they belong
- PWorrying they’re carrying more than they know how to say
Our Approach to Child Therapy
We believe every child deserves a space where they can be seen, understood, and supported in becoming their healthiest self. Our therapists help children learn emotional awareness, coping tools, and communication skills in ways that feel natural and age-appropriate. We walk alongside you as the parent in order to better support your child’s growth and healing.
We prioritize collaboration with parents throughout therapy. Every four sessions we schedule a parent check-in to discuss progress, goals, and any patterns we’re noticing. These sessions ensure therapy stays focused, transparent, and connected to real changes at home and school.
Our child therapists support children and teens working through challenges such as:
• School anxiety and academic stress
• Behavioral and emotional regulation issues
• ADHD and attention challenges
• Divorce adjustment and family transitions
• Grief and loss
